Vibrant Pasifika festival goes multi-day: 8 – 13 March 2010
The world’s largest Pacific festival which brings together New Zealand’s multi-cultural community in a vibrant, island-style celebration, has expanded to include new events and locations for 2010.
The Hillary Trail – a new four day walking track on Auckland’s west coast honouring Sir Edmund Hillary – has been officially opened on the second anniversary of the New Zealand hero’s death.
Prince William is due to arrive in New Zealand – on his first official visit – on Sunday (17.01.10), and there’s a mini-feast of Kiwi food and culture in store for him.
It’s 25 years since Kiwi inventor and marine explorer Kelly Tarlton created an underwater adventure that has become one of New Zealand’s best known tourist attractions.
